Cleaning Up The Garden

I hear the clanking as bamboo
strikes bamboo and the wind
rises, like a tide, an ocean of air.

This Kimberleys memento came out
of Mum's cupboard when the last
metal chime surrendered to storm.

The Yin and Yang striker survived.
Panic-stricken metal shrieking silenced
The sound of bamboo clapping.
